"TO KEEP ME FROM BECOMING PROUD, I WAS GIVEN A THORN IN MY FLESH, A MESSENGER FROM SATAN TO TORMENT ME. THREE TIMES I PLEADED WITH THE LORD TO TAKE IT AWAY FROM ME. BUT HE SAID, 'MY GRACE IS ALL YOU NEED. MY POWER WORKS BEST IN WEAKNESS.'"
2 Corinthians 12:7-9
Wow! If the apostle Paul could be given a thorn in his flesh, a "messenger of Satan", to keep him humble, dependent, close to God could that be the very thing happening to us? Could the Lord be allowing us to live with a thorn, because it keeps us humble? Does His grace and power come when we feel weak? How would we live if He took the thorn away?
