"THE LORD SAID TO MOSES, 'TAKE JOSHUA... A MAN IN WHOM IS THE SPIRIT OF LEADERSHIP, AND LAY YOUR HAND ON HIM.'"

Numbers 27:18


God values what kind of Spirit a person has. Scripture tells us that Joshua "caught" Moses' Spirit by serving him, following him into God's presence and by it being passed onto to him through the laying on of Moses' hands. Moses' Spirit came out through only the spies Joshua and Caleb speaking faith to conquer the Promised Land. The Lord gave the 12 the same emphasis on having the Spirit. "How much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him."
