Have you ever had a Garden of Gethsemane experience? Recently, I was alone in my hotel room when the Holy Spirit prompted me to not watch TV or read but be quiet before Him. It became a time to resurrender to Jesus, and His calling on my life. I found myself asking if He had any new "marching orders" and then listening for His quiet whisper. Derek Prince said that God doesn't shout. He spoke to Elijah in a "gentle whisper". (1 Ki. 19:12) Help us, Lord, to go to our own Garden of Gethsemane and get quiet enough to hear You.
